A Social Enterprise is a business venture supported by a non-profit organization, that creates revenue generating initiatives that provide empowerment, inclusion & dignity, for marginalized people.

In the psychiatric consumer/survivor community, a Social Enterprise is run by and for people with the lived experience of mental illness.
 
Social Enterprises provide meaningful employment opportunities, as well as the chance to acquire new skills, create self esteem and expand capacities for consumer/survivors.
